Postdoctoral researcher (D4) – Wageningen University & Research, The Netherlands

I am an interdisciplinary researcher with a background in socio-hydrology, hydrogeology, and civil engineering. I focus on improving understanding of vulnerable water resources and the use of participatory research to build resilience to water scarcity and other water-related hazards.

My role on 3DDD involves integrating the PhD research regarding stakeholder perspectives of water scarcity, remote sensing and socio-hydrological modelling, and analysis of drought policy and water governance. We aim to develop a participatory drought diagnosis toolbox to improve drought preparedness and mitigation for water users, managers, traders and policy-makers. Subsequent upscaling will take the drought diagnosis methodology beyond northeast Brazil to other drought-affected parts of the world.
