I have been president of FUNCEME since 2006 and have a background in civil engineering and hydrological modelling. I focus on the use of climate information on water allocation and planning, in particular for drought related issues: Drought Characterization, Monitoring and Forecasting, Early Warning Systems, Agricultural and Hydrologic Drought, Drought Planning and Policy.
My role on 3DDD is the Brazil lead in addition to coordination and supervision of PhD and postdoc research activities taking place in Brazil.
